A practical border checklist for Miri travellers
A Miri-to-Brunei trip can involve separate checks for the person, travel purpose, arrival registration and vehicle. Put the documents into one trip folder before leaving.
Person and purpose
Check every passport, the purpose stated in the forms, accommodation, contact details and return plan. Confirm whether the current official rules require a visa or another permission for that purpose.
Arrival registration
Use the official E-Arrival Card guidance and keep the confirmation reference. The official guidance refers to a valid passport, travel information and accommodation. At the control post, be ready to show the passport and a visa if applicable.
If you drive
Check the official EES information page. Keep the vehicle registration, driver’s licence, owner authorisation where applicable, and the insurance or cross-border documents required for your trip.
At the border
Answer truthfully and consistently with the form and supporting documents. Allow time for inspection or extra questions. A completed online form is not a promise of admission, and an agent cannot override an immigration officer’s decision.
