What is the Brunei E-Arrival Card?
The E-Arrival Card is an arrival-registration step. It is not a visa grant and it does not replace a visa when a visa is required. The Brunei Immigration Department is the authority for current entry requirements.
For Malaysian travellers leaving from Miri, complete the registration before travelling and keep the confirmation reference. Official guidance asks for a valid passport, travel information and accommodation in Brunei. At the control post, be ready to provide a valid passport and a visa if applicable.
Miri-to-Brunei checklist
- Valid passport for every traveller.
- Travel dates, route and contact details.
- Accommodation address or host details in Brunei.
- E-Arrival Card confirmation or reference number.
- Visa or other permission if the official rules require one.
- Return or onward plan that matches the stated purpose.
Registration does not guarantee admission, a particular stay period or a visa. It cannot correct an invalid passport, inaccurate purpose or missing permission. If your plan involves work, study, a long stay or a pass extension, check the correct official category first.
