The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) (subclass 601) is an Australian visa that allows eligible passport holders to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes. With this visa, you can enter Australia multiple times over a 12-month period, staying up to 3 three months per visit.
Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for an ETA, you can use the Australian ETA app, which is available for download on your smartphone. The app will guide you through the application steps

Reading Passport eChip: Using your device's NFC capability to read the electronic chip in your passport.
